Hi.
Im also a member of the malwarebytes forum and i brought this point up about agnitum as there was a thread concerning the product and i questioned the banner of the product which it claims is the first free "complete"security suite and a agnitum employee and forum moderator gave a very nasty response to my query.
He stated that the banner was true and emphasised the term “complete”.
I asked what he meant by complete and he never responded again.
I got the impression he holds a grudge against comodo for some reason as he took the thread to the level of attacking comodo staff personally.
regards :-[
I am quite sure we all know who delivers IS, that’s more than some people can handle, and which is for free. I am not say they are bad or so but the free version is like norton says is not going to provide the needed protection; they want people to buy the pro version.
Personally i dont like the look of the product and it looked highly limited in function to me.
Of course comodo is the best free security suite out there and indeed the best suite altogether.
Just a pity it will not work properly on my 32-bit computer.
That is exactly what happened on my 32-bit machine yesterday.
An exclamation mark and defence+ not working.
When i re-booted i couldnt log into the computer.
When i did finally manage to get logged in i was informed that windows couldnt connect to a service and my computers layout immediately changed to vista basic.
When i looked in the defence+ intrusions log.
1.rundll32 had been blocked.
2.shelldll32 had been blocked.
3.logon,exe had been blocked.
Defence+ had gone ona blocking spree.
My machine is clean as ive done several scans.
Im puzzled as to what to do.
My only option would seem to be to use a restore point.
Make a new thread where we can analyze and help or you can give me a PM.
On tip that I have is that you download CIS 5.3 and the CIS clean up tool. uninstall CIS and use the clean up tools in safe mode as admin. After that you install CIS 5.3 as admin
Hi
Just been in a debate with the outpost moderator again.
He really does not like comodo at all.
He has posted on the malwarebytes forum some links regarding the hopsurf toolbar and other derogatory links in a wilders forum.
Personally i take these with a pinch of salt.
They are posts which are outdated.
He seems to have a vendetta against comodo for some reason.
Not a nice person.

Gee, I wonder why :) LOL

The way they word it, it's technicality legal. Being technicality correct on marketing words that their allow to legally get away with DOESN'T PROTECT YOUR COMPUTER. ONLY WELL WRITTEN AND MAINTAINED SECURITY SOFTWARE WILL.
I’ll give you an awsume example of this while ripping on outpost’s marketing at the time (IMO)
Let’s assume I got permission from several open-source software authors to bundle together their software to form a security suite. With this being said here’s my marketing compared to outpost
outpost calls it
Outpost Security Suite FREE
My designing my own security suite based from example and also assume it’s buggy and not every effective
Exploitblockers Total Security SUITE FREE <------- We are the first in the world to provide “Total Security SUITE Free”. You can now be protected against complex threats and will remove malware from the deepest levels.
You see where I’m going with this marketing here. It’s nice and legel because nobody else calls it Total Security SUITE FREE because nobody elsed called it by name. <—BUT REMEMBER THIS, MARKETING DOESN’T PROTECT YOUR COMPUTER
I asked what he meant by complete and he never responded again.
That's because the employee doesn't know how to answer it without making outpost's marketing NOT sound shady.
I got the impression he holds a grudge against Comodo for some reason as he took the thread to the level of attacking Comodo staff personally.
Maybe this person get paid to do it or more likely that this person is jealous because this person can't use it because they work for outpost or affiliated with it in some way <---Yeah, that's gotta be it :P >:-D
Jealousy does create anger.
Anger creates frustration.
Frustration creates bad judgement.
Bad judgement creates bad decisions.
Bad decisions creates bad behaviour.
Bad behaviour normally comes back to bite.
I do believe some sort of marketing is needed and most marketing used is probably legal, but I am not so sure if some of the marketing used is morally correct. Kind regards.
I am not so sure if some of the marketing used is morally correct
When it comes to marketing, the word "morally or moral" doesn't exist. It's more like how far can you go without get a backlash from internet users
