Add "Terminate Process" to the "View Processes List" [M927]

1. What version of CIS, or Comodo Firewall, are you currently using:
Comodo Internet Security 7.0.312140.4101 RC

2. What actually happened or you saw
In the View Processes List there is no option to kill or terminate a process.

3. What you wanted to happen or see
I suggest adding Terminate Process or Kill Process to the context menu in View Processes List - I made a simple mock-up which my suggestion is the red text in the context menu.

4. Why you think it is desirable
Convenience and usability would be improved.

5. Any other information
The mock-up shows me right-clicking a .DLL file however that was not intentional, I don’t know if you can “Terminate” a .DLL file like that, but my wish still stands because right-clicking an executable still doesn’t show any way of terminating the process.

i voted no on this because general users might use the process list and cause system damage by terminating processes. killswitch is for advanced users and has this functionality

Please let me know which version of CIS you are currently using. I just changed the format slightly as I realized that was missing, and want to make sure each post if complete before moving.

Thanks.

Thank you for submitting this Wish Request. I have now reset the poll and moved this to the WAITING AREA.

Please be sure to vote for your own wish, and for any other wishes you also support. It is also worthwhile to vote against wishes you think would be a waste of resources, as implementing those may slow down the wishes you would really like to see added.

Thanks again.

I would like to thank everyone who has voted on this particular enhancement. As there have been 20 or more votes, and more than 75% of those votes were positive, I have added this to the tracker for consideration by the devs. However, do note that even though this wish will be considered by the devs, it does not necessarily mean that it will be implemented. I will update this topic when I have any additional information.

Thank you.

Thanks for checking this. I’ve updated the tracker.

Where is this ‘view processes list’? I was looking for this the other day and couldn’t find neither hide nor tail of the thing. I’ll concede that Killswitch is by far a more robust than the feature I was familiar with in v5.12.

The only thing that comes close is ‘view processes’ in ‘add’ dialogue.

Click the number for sandboxed processes on the Widget.

It may also be possible to do it through the main window of CIS

That only shows actually sandboxed items (not the entire process tree).

I’m not at a computer for a while so can’t really look for it, what happens if you press “More” in that indow, does it show all processes or does it simply open killswitch?
