well I used the online-installer it has install the new version over the old one,
but all my firewall->networkzones->blocked zones-> settings entries are gone!!!
how can I export and Import those blocked zone settings? I have alot of blocked IP’s and mac-adresses and I dont won’t to make those settings every time after CIS program update.
Thanks god I made a system image backup before I installed this new version

As you installed over the top like I did, you have to go to Configurations and chose you previous configuration which is saved during the install.

Default behavior during the install is to start with a new default configuration.

I saw that too, but I thought the default config of the new version should/would be better( I am willing to set the other configs manual), that’s why I think there should be an export/import option for the Firewall blocked zones, I have 2 pc’s so it would be even easier to get the block entries to my other pc.

Under Advanced Settings > Configuration > choose the Configuration you use and then Export . . . to a separate folder from the Comodo install. Once the new installation has done it’s thing and reboot etc., the you can Import the saved Configuration and all your previous settings should be there as you had them

I tend to Export as a precaution every couple of weeks and always after any changes I make

thx for the advice made now a backup/export of the setting for my old version.

2. install comodo internet security;
3. running or check for updates via windows update and start the update version 20180 or 20175 for 20180 version windows 10 insider;
4. when windows update started process the installation and CIS installed, bluescreen occurs…

Not sure why, but Comodo PF never offers updates and manual updating never shows new updates. I could wait six months and several versions later and still nothing. I tried uninstalling and re-installing to no avail, and I’m pretty sure that I’m not blocking Comodo from updating. Any insights be much appreciated, thanks in advanced.

What version of CPF are you using? Please notice Comodo has still not offered a recent build on the program updater for over a year even though CIS has been developed further. It is a big frustration we are not getting any clear answers from Comodo when they will release a build through the program updater. :-\

Finally got annoyed waiting for Comodo to “auto” update the old version (1268?) after 18 months or so. Downloaded and did a manual install, importing my old config. No problems so far.

What a mess in website design from Comodo trying to find the latest download! So of course I had to come to the forum to find the download link for the latest version. Why does Comodo make it so hard to find the latest version? Every other vendor has a single download page with the various download options listed on that page. Comodo seems to have hundreds of download pages with different info on each one. Some tell you that there is a free version of the program. Many others seem to indicate that you have to buy the program. NONE list the version number that I found.

It’s all very frustrating and IMO, misleading. This doesn’t reflect well on Comodo. There must be some reason they have designed this mishmash of download pages as no one would put all this work into these many page varieties for no good reason. Perhaps it gets people to buy the paid version?
