"wasf" registry

I’m trying to find out what this registry key could stand for, didn’t notice it before and searching for it gives no results. Do you also have this? It’s path is “Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\wasf” with value data “304_311_323_316_314_324_310_251”

Seems like malicious. If you want me to see at better view, follow preparation guide pinned on top of forum.

Thanks but no need, if you could just tell me why it seems malicious to you I would be much grateful.

Mostly because of name. Can you attach that key in your reply as zip ?

Wow6432Node registry path is mostly for running 32-bit programs on 64-bit systems. It’s probably leftover from certain program (legitimate) or even malware. I cannot determinate / guarantee 100% is it malicious or not without FRST logs because in the logs it shows file related to that key.

Your reply helps to make decision-I’ll create system restore and remove that registry, I don’t think it will break os because windows didn’t have such registry before, thanks again.
