Hello all. I am having trouble understanding how the zones work in COMODO. If I set up a zone for my local network and make an application rule that says an app destination is my local zone, I still get popups asking for permission for that app even though it is trying to access a host in the local zone. It wants to make a new rule that allows any destination. This seems to defeat the purpose of zones altogether. Any wisdom to be shared?

Have you gone to stealth port wizard and trusted your zone? Zones are just convenient ways of grouping things so you can make rules about them. To restrict the scope of automatic rules, go to firewall behavior settings/alert settings and move the slider to “high”.

Hi, Sorry I posted to the wrong board. I am running 2.4. I have set up my internal network as trusted. It seems that zones are having no effect at all on the application rules.
