When I try to run this program, defense+ blocks it.That’s OK,and I’m waiting for response but Comodo for that takes long long time and than I get alert that Comodo doesn’t recognize this program.Than real problems starts and my PC(I have 3.0 GHz 32-bit Pentium 4 on Windows XP) becams very very slow until I restart it.
And one more thing.I put defence + on Clean PC level, and almost every file that I have downloaded(for example some instalation .exe files),defence + sent in My pending files. Why?And when I want to download some file(always in same folder) defence+ always sends alert to me that Firefox or Opera or Internet Explorer(or any other browser) tries to create new file. That’s real irritation. Why defence+ can’t create common rule for all files which browser puts in the same folder?I wan’t to download the same file 100 times to avoid new alerts.
Because of that I allow that my browser can modify file or folder, but isn’t that to much freedom for interner browser?
Of corse I always can set defence+ on training level but that’s a lower protection and I don’t now how it will learn this stuffs.
Sorry for my bad English and thanks.
I have just come from Norton, and I must say, (:TNG) to that and :BNC to this (:KWL).
One problem I have noticed however, is I have the app “Your Uninstaller 2006!”. With Comodo Firewall installed, if I try to open it up, the .exe (that is part of comodo) cmdagent.exe starts to hog %100 CPU time and halts YU from opening. Killing the YU exe in tskmgr doesn’t help. The only way to get out of the problem is to restart.
This means I cannot run Your Uninstaller 2006! with comodo.
Yes, I am experiencing the same behavior with Your Uninstaller! 2006 on my IBM ThinkPad T43 (Windows XP Pro SP2, 1.86 GHz, 512 MB RAM, ATI Radeon 300, Kaspersky Anti-Virus 7.0). I also get the error message that “…uruninstaller.exe is not a valid Win32 application.”
Generally, when I run Your Uninstaller! 2006 I shut down almost everything (using EndItAll, plus manually terminating some other processes in Task Manager), so I haven’t experienced this issue until now, when I saw your post. Bottom line is that YU2006 will run if your shut down CFP 3.0. But you really should not be forced to do that.
Oddly, I don’t experience this problem with Your Uninstaller! 2004 on my desktop system that runs CFP 3.0 (Windows XP Pro SP2, 500 MHz, 384 MB RAM, Kaspersky Anti-Virus 7.0).
Strange, I also have “Your Uninstaller! 2006” on my WinXP Home PC and thought I’d check it out after seeing this thread - but have had no issues running it at all with V3.
UPDATE: Disabling Defense+ will allow Your Uninstaller! 2006 to launch properly. What’s more, the process “cmdagent.exe” no longer runs at 100% CPU.
Changing the Firewall and Defense+ settings to “Training Mode” will allow Your Uninstaller! 2006 to launch, but there is a wait of nearly 6-7 minutes for the GUI to appear. And CPU usage rebounds back to nearly 100%.
