Hello guys !
I read several post about crashes, freezes, black screens with games in full screen… All relate to 64-bits (graphic card ATI or NVidia). I have tried some games with CIS in vista x64, server 2008 x64 and win7 x64 this problem is common for all x64 systems.
Answers to resolve blocking does not satisfy me.
A note to gamers (https://forums.comodo.com/empty-t20008.0.html) is the worst of all and contrary to common sense.
Activate the Training Mode pretty much renders the whole CIS useless… and even less if you forget to return it !! I read this solution several times, IT’S DANGEROUS, VERY DANGEROUS… Unfortunately this solution is proposed and the topic is closed.
I would prefer that the problem is completely solved by Comodo programmers.
I have installed a clean x64 french Windows 7 in virtual machine with CIS without modifiy options (defense + and firewall in safe mode).
When a game is launched:
- the screen is freezed (black or not)
- the keyboard does not respond (ctrl-alt-del, ctrl-shift-esc, windows key… caps lock & num lock do not change the LED of keyboard)
- the machine respond to PING
- the CPU usage does not seem important
- if music is played by Win media player it does not stop, but, strange, it stop with XMplay player
I think there is one (or more) warning in the background but why the system seems freezed ?
For test I lowered the time “Keep an alert on screen for maximum” (defense+ > advanced > defense+ settings > general settings) to 10 seconds. Wonder ! There the system is freezed only for 84 seconds (and the game works). Then I change this time, the freeze is proportional (time=100 sec ; freeze=804 sec…)
I have also installed a clean x32 french Windows 7 in virtual machine and strangely with the sames games I have no warning from CIS.
First: until resolution of the problem, I suggest to the gamers to lower the time of alerts (defense+ & firewall) to try their games but not the trainer mode !!
Second: CALL > someone uses a 64 bits system without problem with full screen games ?
third: Send your testimonies here so that the problem is solved (indicate processor & graphic card…)
Thank you
