X1 Desktop Search

Hi - I am using X1 desktop search (which is almost same as Yahoo Desktop search). The X1 program apparently uses Outlook/iexplorer as an access into internet. If i disable TCP/UDP access, my Outlook would not work.

Does anyone has any experience with this software and whether there are any concerns with having X1/Yahoo Desktop Search connecting to internet via Outlook/iexplorer?

Ofcourse… you can’t get/connect/use/ the Internet without an IP protocol(TCP/UDP)

IP: Internet Protocol
TCP: Transmission Control Protocol
UDP: User Datagram Protocol
