What does the error in red mean?

Hi, this can mean a few things. First, a backup test doesn’t write to media, this is probably why, so try a regular write.

Worst case, your burner just had a near death experience. You may want to make sure you have the updated firmware, also check your media , CD\DVDs, make sure they are not scratched, used prior, or have some “bad parts” like swirls in the media, which you can see on the bottom while holding up to the light. It may be your burner is dusty, how long has it been since you tried a lens cleaner? Are your settings set to the wrong burner? Are you sure you have eg…set to CD but have a DVD in drive or vise versa? It may be something you are trying to burn onto disk that isn’t compatable. These are some basics but let me know.
