I may be getting the hang of this stuff, but still think i need a network guide for real dummies book to understand half of it.
I run a wireless linksys network at home with file and print sharing. I use a safe 192.168.1.1 zone to let the network function.
But the main reason I have the notebook is to use it at work and other public wirelless networks. Does having such a wide ip range cleared let anything from the internet in when I am on a public wirless network?
CFP setup two zone for me a wireless card 192.168.1.0-126.96.36.199 and a local lan zone of 0.0.0.0 to 255.255.255.255.
What is the purpose of the local LAN zone, wouldnt that let everything on?
Great product great site, pc is running so mucj faster without nortons
