I know that the WinSxS folder in the Windows directory is a critical folder, but it’s taking me over an hour for Comodo to scan because of the 70k files located in the C:\Windows\WinSxS\Temp\PendingRenames folder. I was under the assumption that they would disappear after a reboot, but they don’t. Does anyone have any idea how to reduce the amount of files here? This is a recent issue because I never had slow scans as a result of this folder, A full scan for me usually took 20-45 minutes.
Finally fixed the issue by checking for windows updates and re enabling automatic updates.
