Windows Security Alert Icon with Firewall Installed and Functioning

System: AMD Athlon 64 3400+, 2.20 GHz, 1.00 GB RAM, Win XP Home Edition SP2

Installed Comodo Firewall Pro 2.4.18.184 after uninstalling Zone Alarm Free. The program seems to be working fine. However, there is a Windows Security Alert icon in the the task bar indicating that I have neither a firewall nor an anti-virus program that is ON. The anti-virus program is Avast! v4.7 and it, too, seems to be working fine.

Why doesn’t Windows Security now recognize my firewall or my anti-virus program and how do I resolve the issue of the Windows Security Alert icon? Thanks.
