Windows Explorer

Comodo Internet Security Suite keeps popping up a box about Windows Explorer trying to execute shellcode while uninstalling the Sims 3. What is going on and is it a false positive? Just curious. ???

When you know for sure that the uninstaller is a clean file you can ignore these alerts.

The Buffer Overflow protection warns when it finds a buffer overflow (BO).The BO in its self is not dangerous; the abuse of BO’s by malware is what makes the problem. Hence my question whether you know it is not an infected file.

When you find a BO you basically found a bug in a program. You could consider reporting it to the maker of the program.

It’s a Microsoft File and it only does it on the uninstalling of The Sims 3.
