Windows error while AV scanning (on demand)

Running XPsp2 latest update of CIS/AV (3.8 I think! How can one tell? I see no “about button”)

Whiler running the AV scan on demand I get an error message saying: cmdagent.exe instruction at address 0x052BFB04 referenced error address 0x052bfb04 could not be written. Later in the same scan the message was repeated for address 0x6DFE6C.

Scan ran to completion anyway, affect of errors is undetermined.

Dos anyone know what cmdagent.exe? is or does?
