Not sure what to think about this, I rather hope it’s not real, or if it is, it can be disabled… :-\

It’s not Internet Explorer it’s Explorer and it’s a ribbon like the one found in Office 2010.
If it works like in Office 2010 then the ribbon can be blocked from view. But when you open a menu you will get the ribbon for that particular menu. You can’t return to the old menu style. Ribbon is here to stay.

Indeed so, but is a ribbon really needed for Windows Explorer? In Windows 7 they started to hide UI elements and now, the suggestion in Windows 8, is to blitz us with yet more. All Explorer really needs is a tabbed interface.
