Windows 8 Explorer ribbon!

Not sure what to think about this, I rather hope it’s not real, or if it is, it can be disabled… :-\

Windows 8 Secrets: Windows Explorer Ribbon

It is only a menu button, like the one in Opera.

It is only a menu button, like the one in Opera.

It’s not Internet Explorer it’s Explorer and it’s a ribbon like the one found in Office 2010.

If it works like in Office 2010 then the ribbon can be blocked from view. But when you open a menu you will get the ribbon for that particular menu. You can’t return to the old menu style. Ribbon is here to stay.

Indeed so, but is a ribbon really needed for Windows Explorer? In Windows 7 they started to hide UI elements and now, the suggestion in Windows 8, is to blitz us with yet more. All Explorer really needs is a tabbed interface.

No to the ribbon, i don’t care for that idea at all :-TD

Yes, this :-TU
