Ok I have been a user of Comodo for a few years and I love it but recently I have been having issues with it.
Everyday I get a windows pop up from interactive services saying that comodo has crashed and needs to be restarted also my Action Center is either telling me that Comodo needs to be turned on or needs an update. Aslo I cannot update my virus definitions. Its gets to 90% then gives me the Cannot update, Check internet connection. I have already added http://downloads.comodo.com and http:// us4.download.comodo.com to my update list.
I have comodo Internet security premium, version 5.10.228257.2253 and virus database version 11902. Any suggestions to get running smoothly.
Did you recently install another security program?
Try changing download host us4.download.comodo.com to download.comodo.com.
May be your av database got corrupted. Follow [ur=https://forums.comodo.com/anti_virus_faq/where_can_i_download_the_latest_full_av_database-t47164.0.html]Where can i download the latest full AV database?[/url] to get the latest full database. After the reboot you should be able to get the latest incremental av updates. Let us know if this happens or not.
About the crash two things.
It sounds like cmdagent.exe (Comodo Internet Security Helper Service) may have crashed. Can you check the Windows logs (Control Panel → Administrative Tools → Event Viewer → System) if it is cfp.exe or cmdagent.exe that is crashing.
If it is cmdagent.exe crashing set the Comodo Internet Security Helper Service to always recover. How to do this? Go to Control Panel → Administrative Tools → Services → select and right click on Comodo Internet Security Helper Service → Properties → Recovery → set it to recover on first, second and subsequents failures and to restart service after zero minutes.
Ok I updated the database. Everything works good right now. I am pretty sure I had a larger overlaying problem. I found out that one of my ram sticks went back. So this may have been the larger cause of my issues with my message pop up and action center going nuts.
