I have recently undergone a complete re-do of my security software. I have chosen Comodo Firewall Pro 3 as my software firewall, Avira Personal Edition as my AV, and Adaware Free as my AS. I was wondering if Defense Plus would conflict with antivirus (or antispyware for that matter) software since it has real-time protection and a virus scanner. Thank you very much for any help you can provide. I hope to become an active community member here at the Comodo forums.

You’re set up looks fine and there should be no possible conflicts.

Defense + actually does not have realtime antivirus scanning, it has an on demand scanner based off of the CAVS3 scanner, Defense + itself is basically HIPS, but much more intelligent because it can identify malware or suspicious files by behavior.
Ad Aware is past its prime and offers no good protection. SuperAntiSpyware and Malware Bytes are alot better. Like Justin said Comdoo doesn’t have a virus scanner so Avira and Comodo are a great Comodo. Avast is actually a better choice for free av’s since it doesn’t have a nag screen about upgrading.
