Wildcard Cert Help Needed

Have been using wildcard certs for our sites for years with no problem. Now I have one server that is built differently than our usual production sites. Latest apache and openssl as of yesterday. I have installed the ca.crt our.crt and our.key. Apache starts successfully but when I access the site I get a “The name on the security certificate is invalid or does not match the name of the site.” message. I would prefer no pop-up at all and don’t understand why it works perfectly on one machine but not this one. Can anyone point me to an option or something that won’t allow *.ourdomain.com to be accepted and cause this type problem? Thanks.

Hi,

If you could, please let us know the correct domain name and the subdomain name for which you have installed the SSL certificate. So that we can have a look and get back to you. Also, please ensure that you are using Dedicated IP address for every subdomain that is using SSL certificate!. Please feel free to contact us at support@comodo.com.
