why isn't defence+ remembering my answer

I have two persistent services that I feel like blocking, but Defense+ alerts appear to be recurring infinitely to warn that they’re trying to change the same registry key etc. They are:

WatAdminSvc.exe and another service it spawns, the name of which escapes me now.

How do I get these gone? I’ve paid my ■■■■ money to Microsoft and i don’t see why I should be asked to validate my OS again. and again. and again ad mortem

You kind of brought this on yourself by installing Windows update KB971033. Anything that makes you accept an additional license agreement during a Windows update you might wanna pay attention to. Your basically stuck with it because by disabling the service Windows will report as non genuine. Next time hide the update because it’s of no use to the user at all.

“The reason that viewers such as you may want to uninstall it, is because of the surround rumors that this update creates a new process/service that will slow down your system and has been rumored to monitor the user.”

so basically you have 3 choices :

  1. leave it alone and let it do it’s thing
  2. try the method below
  3. reinstall windows and hide the update.

  • I’m not suggesting you use any type of activator or loader *

It looks like Comodo does not recognize the file even with the digital signature. Add it to trusted files.

What configuration are you using. If you didn’t disable the TVL, and are running Defense+ in Safe Mode, the file should be trusted as long as it’s signed by Microsoft.

windows update is disabled

apologies for delay here. firewall and defense+ in safe mode both.

thank you for your responses sAyer, chiron. they’re both untrusted files if i remember rightly. haven’t heard any more about it from comodo. sleeping dogs can lie now

Can you check the signature of WatAdminSvc.exe and see if it a valid signature?
