Why is cis asking me to un-install mcaffe?

There is no way to install cis on a clean system, if the system is open to all kinds of attacks by removeing current protections, just to install cis in the first place.

Even burning a cd and installing it to said pc couldn’t be certain, any malware/viri previously blocked by previous protections, would dig in as soon as previous protections were removed, possibly curropting the new cis install.

I have run mcaffe+cis without error in the past? would this also void any guarantees for piad users?

What insecurity? If the system is a freshly installed Windows Windows Firewall will be switched on. I f you uninstalled an existing security suite it will more than likely switch on Windows Firewall. And in case Windows Firewall or no other firewall is running Windows will remind you.

Just make sure you have your autoruns for CD/DVD drives and external media disabled.

I am not familiar with McAffee and its licenses.

even in a long time installed system, you will have no attacks by removing your previous protection, if you have no active connections of any kind… just put your pc offline if you are paranoid.

many softwares like Malwarebyte’s Anti Malware allow CIS to be installed alongside, so run a scan before installing CIS and remove the infection if any.

do you talking about McAffee AV? it is not recommended to run 2 AV in same time, it may create security holes in your system or crash it …

running multiple av’s is not suggested, but it has helped me, and has protected each av if configured in a way that it can. a multiprocessor with multiple hd’s system seems to be best.

spyware terminator+CIS worked well together, what cis missed ST tried to help. even though it wasn’t foolproof and neither found everything, ST prevented malware found from shutting down the pc during removal of various malware found, while cis notified and helped block remote connections that tried to work around both.

eventually both failed. So i am attempting other software team up’s. I never liked mcaffe, but that doesn’t mean it won’t help. previously i was able to use mcaffe with cis. Not being able to now suggests that i should move on to other software. As mcaffe either causes security risks, or can’t be trusted.

I was also asking if doing these av/fw suite team up’s, would void comodo’s gaurantees. as comodo is the only company i know of that offers such things. And has actually back it up with action. If i find a combination that works, but voids the gaurantee, then i’ll try to find out what and why. Or w/e needs to be done to try and help the companies work it out. If it can’t be done like that, then i’ll do what’s needed to comply with comodo. If something assits in protecting good people and good software, it should be encouraged. Comodo is the software and company i choose if nothing else can be used.

Running two resident Antivirus products at the same time is asking for trouble. It has noting to do with how may processors/Cores you have or how many Hard disks there may be in the system. The fact is, resident AV programs check every file loaded into memory, with both trying to get exclusive access, simultaneously, it’s either going to fail horribly, cause your PC to crawl, or very likely both.

Pazsion, you must be the very junior tech with the company you work for, as you don’t seem to have a clue about much around you. You are arrogant, and demanding even when the answer has been given you (especially when you don’t agree with the answer). Your posts have been simply to stir up trouble.
Please refrain from any further conflicts on these boards or I will personally ban your account.
Thank you.

Pazsion with all respect due; you cant mix any AV with others even if adding each others in their respective exclusions (maybe this kind of installation gave you all the problems you describe in the other thread) some are designed to works with others and are called “companion AV” (Prevx, Threatfire, Immunet, Emsisoft Antimalware are the most known ones) or are not pure AV (Zemana Antilogger, etc…) and some are only on-demand scanners (malwarebytes anti malware, etc…) so they dont interfere or create conflict with others AV. Prevx is the best one i found working well alongside CIS. it complement CIS perfectly.

And honestly Spyware Terminator use ClamAV engine, which is one of the worst i tried.

i mean, … you have problems over problems with your computer. everything what normal people are protected against, is what you experience all day to “seem to happen” to you.

do you really think, your expertise is up to date? why do you try to argument with people who have no problems, as if THEY were the ones who need to wake up?

the only “help” that you try to find, is that other people agree to your strange theories. but its usually impossible to agree to that. so this KIND of help you can not find in any forum. they are not the right place for you.
you even found clues in replies “that they (“attackers”) have friends in high and low places”… this is paranoia, and thats not a name of a bug in a software on your computer.

i said it first ! >:-D so where is the bug…? 88)
