Why doesn't Comodo release a Firewall standalone?

Why doesn’t Comodo release a Firewall standalone, without all the bloat that comes along their “Firewall” currently.

HIPS, Sandboxing, AV scanning, Cloud lookups, I can’t be the only one on the market just looking for a good free Firewall standalone.

And before people say just “disable” HIPS ect, ect. the processes are still there, the files are still there, the interface still accounts for those disabled features which is just more nonsense the user has to weed through.

well…

You can always download comodo internet security an during install, deselect antivirus, etc. so you will end up with firewall and some other features that can be disabled.

but i know the feeling and I agree with the idea that having standalone (real standalone) aplications would be nice too, but the effort to do so? I dont think it will happen as COMODO is strugling with man power to deliver better ccav and better cis as we speak. Maybe in a near future this could happel, I dont know… but it would be nice, for sure…

Lets wait and see if melih talks a little about it…

Even when you disable that stuff you have options under “tasks” to “scan” your computer for malware and viruses, so even still things are installed. Just look at these installer sizes…

Anyway I hope Melih does chime in here, even if the answer is not gonna happen, but I do hope he does consider a stripped down version for some of us, because really Comodo is best in its class for firewalls, it’s just that the “rest” is to over the top for most, and thus I cannot really recommend it anymore.
