Why does CFP want my application to Act as a server

Why does CFP want my application to Act as a server

You receive an alert from CFP with information similar to the following:

Generic Host Process for Win 32 services is trying to act as a server.
Application: svchost.exe
Parent: services.exe

With Comodo Firewall Pro you will find a number of applications will require ‘Act as a Server’ rights. Granting this right, however, does not necessarily mean the application will a be able to receive inbound communications from the Internet.

Unless there is an explicit inbound Network Monitor rule, granting ‘Act as a Server’ means the application is free to communicate with other applications on the same PC.
