Why Comodo firewall doesn't protect against flood attack anymore?

From what I’ve read on the internet, comodo give up on flood attack protection, is that true? And if it is, why?

Got link?

What kind of flooding? example: Dos, DDOS, etc

Where is flood attach protect option?

We need to know what type of “flood” you are referring to to discuss this any further.

Well sadly I don’t find the link anymore. So if anyone can confirm if comodo still protect you against Dos(if I not mistaken)?

Any DOS attack would be directed at your public IP address, not your PCs internal LAN IP address. Therefore, your router is where the attack would be directed.

I con only think of two instances where a DOS attack could directly affect your PC;

  1. You have forward all ports on your router to your PC
  2. You are DOS’d from inside your LAN.

Re. point 1, just don’t. :smiley:
Re. point 2, hunt down the offender inside your LAN and pillow fight them to death.

P.S. Harden your router.

Well there are DDoS attacks aimed at taking down servers by sending and requesting ‘legit’-looking data from the server, however I doubt many, if any, home users would have that problem.

Well thx guys for bringing light into the problem
