Why are there so many updates to the AntiVirus & FireWall software? For the past 10 days there have been numerous updates every day!!! All results in rebooting the machine!!!
WHY???

  1. I would start by reading some of the posts on this forum discussing the improvements made to the software.

  2. If you would prefer that the software not be improved or definitions added, then I am at a loss as how to respond.

  3. While I don’t use CAV, it is a beta product, so frequent updates and ongoing development would be expected.

Hi,

The recent CPF updates (2 updates) were to a new version with the second to fix some additional bugs.

CAVS requires definition updates for new viruses constantly to keep its database up to date. Occasionally this will require a reinstall however, there has been some new versions recently that fixed some bugs. As already stated it is a beta so it will be constantly updated until any bugs are totally removed for its stable release.

These are the only updates that have happened.

You should have seen only 2 updates. Not numerous. If CPF, reports more updates, then we have a problem in your machine.
