While downloading software shall I disable my firewall

Hi comodo users,
I have heard that during downloading or updating software it is necessary to turn off the firewall ,is that true??
Please let me know.

I never disable my firewall when downloading or updating software.

There is no need to do that. It all works fine. Even Windows Service Packs get deployed without a glitch with CIS enabled. I recently installed Windows 8 CP and started the installer from within Windows 7 SP1 and that worked without a glitch.
