Where is the user interface in 3.0?

When I was using comodo 2.4, I could double click on the desktop shortcut and get the user interface to come up. I upgraded to 3.0 and get nothing when I double click on the desktop shortcut. I uninstalled, downloaded 3.0 and re-installed. Same problem.

Can someone tell me what I’m missing here? Thanks!

Hi,

You’ve got to click on the icon in the notification tray.

I had not noticed that. You are right the desktop short cut does not open CFP3 User int.

Don´t know if you could call it a bug, but it could be considered an anoyance

There is no icon in the tray. Comodo is running. I get the defense alerts. But there’s no way to get to the interface.

There’s no icon visible in the tray. What else can I do to get the user interface to come up?

Yes a lot of people are annoyed by this apparently, although I for one didn’t use a desktop shortcut.

Dbarton, if there’s a small arrow inside a circle at the leftmost end of the tray, click on it to bring hidden icons out.

Thanks for the replies. There is no quick launch icon for comodo in my taskbar. I have the taskbar set to show the icons. When I click the arrow to the left, comodo is not one of the icons available. I have checked them all. I have also looked in the comodo folder in program files, and do not see a way to open the user interface. Am I missing something else? Thanks again.

Give your system the MS 3 finger salute (CTRL - ALT - DEL) to open Task Manager. On the PROCESSES tab, locate and select CFP.EXE. Click once and then select END PROCESS. Click OK on the warning dialogue. Now try double clicking your desktop Firewall icon. This method works on my PC, but the problem reoccurs on an irregular basis.

Hope this helps,

Thanks. I tried that. My task manager says access is denied to the cfp process. I am the only account on this computer. No separate administrator account that I am not logged into or anything like that.
