What OS are you on, what other security programs are running in the background, what programs are causing the problem and what do you mean with system will be dead? How do you know it is ICMP related?

Do you have screenshots of your Global Rules, firewall logs and application rules of the affected programs?

VISTA HOME BASIC , simple chinese. “Thunder” downloader and some other software. system doesn’t respond. the CIS’ fireware show a Window ,it show the software use the ICMP.

Can you post a screenshot of the firewall logs (Firewall → Common Tasks → View Firewall Events)? This way I can see the ICMP messages.

Go to Firewall → Advanced → Firewall Detection Settings -->Miscellaneous → make sure “Block Fragmented IP Datagrams” is enabled.

now have no problem.
