Whats this .$$$ file ?

Hi All,
I am having CIS installed on my D Drive. Earlier D:\COMODO\COMODO Internet Security\scanners folder doesn’t had bases.$$$ file. But now it has. What is this file for ?

My friend don’t have this file on his PC. He is having the same CIS version installed.

It is used during the virus database update, it should disappear once the update is finished.
