With all the work that is being done by brave individuals as well has huge corps grasping that the general public is ready for web 3.0 and much more privacy and security aware I am sure things will change.
As one says “follow the money” when corps and companies start loosing money, at they already do, the pressure on govs will get bigger and bigger and in the end the people will win, fingers crossed. If not than at least a few dozen IT sec crazy freaks will be safe out there, though I am sure IT sec for pros as well as IT sec for general users will be THE selling argument of software and network infrastructure in the years to come. People learned to ask “what is under the hood”, not only with cars but also with computers and companies. It can only get better…
