What is compress old files ?

Internet was slow for sometime.There must be problem with the internet only as far as i know.Sometimes i use to think,may be there is any unwanted files in pc to delete and that is making the internet also slow.That seems stupid.The unwanted files got nothing to do with internet,i think.Eventhough i must know what are the unwanted files and where it is located.

Temporary internet files only i know.I deleted them as usual.In disk cleanup i saw compress old files…
What is compress old files ?

It is taking more space.The below are the sizes in Local disks when i saw in disk cleanup

C: 60,849 kb
D: 11,901,05 kb
E: 6,160 kb
F: 317,753 kb

Do compress old files have any main system files ?

Is it safe to delete those compress old files ?

This doesn’t delete any files at all, it simply compresses (makes smaller) any files that have not been accessed in a long time. It’s a great way to safely save space, and in my experience, has no bad side effects.

I’m not sure, but here is a cleaner that is safe, good, and free: CCleaner. :-TU

My bad, sorry. No, do not delete them, sometimes they are system files, amd sometimes they are documents/photo’s etc

You are right,thats why i didnt deleted them.

If you do, then you probably don’t need to use the Disk Cleaner that comes with Windows (I thought that was what you were using).
