What does this alert mean?

Date/Time :2007-01-25 20:25:39
Severity :Medium
Reporter :Network Monitor
Description: Inbound Policy Violation (Access Denied, IP = 10.2.0.1, Port = dhcp(68))
Protocol: UDP Incoming

Destination: 255.255.255.255:dhcp(68)
Reason: Network Control Rule ID = 8

I keep getting these kinds of alerts. I don’t know what they mean for but I don’t remember getting them with the old 2.3 version. Is this somehow contributing to the slow down I’m experiencing with utorrent downloads? In the old version I would just get lots of ICMP alerts but none of this kind.

Rule number 8 is the default blocking rule in the network monitor. I only added rules to open ports for my p2p apps.

They are DHCP broadcasts. Nothing to worry about
The host 10.2.0.1 is either booting up or renewing his IP address. CFP is dropping them.
