What are diffrences between C:\* and C:\ at HIPS > Protected Files?

Hi, ladies and gents;

I have two questions:

  1. What are diffrences between C:* and C:\ at HIPS > Protected Objects > Protected Files?

May a malicious file do any change (creating file, creating folder, changing files) in C Drive with setting C:\ ?

  1. What are diffrences between HKCR* and HKCR\ at HIPS > Protected Objects > Registry Keys?

May a malicious file do any change (creating registry key, creating registry folder, changing registry keys) in HKCR with setting HKCR\ ?

Hi,
If user doesn’t define ‘’ to end, application automatically adds '’ to end while processing.

So to answer your question, they are treated the same.
