Seeing how an Internet Security package is much stronger than traditional Antivirus package, I must say it is indeed a great win with 42%…

And competition was strong, ESET, Kaspersky and Symantec… Big names right there…

It seems that the Eset was the most one who got affected of omitting the bots’ votes ;D

How do you figure? Comodo went from 74% down to 42% whereas ESET went from 21% up to 25%. Unless you are talking about position where ESET went from 2nd to 3rd place, then yes, they were most affected.

Sad to see how comodo users are so dishonest these days when trying to promote CIS. Highly doubt about.com spoted all cheating taking place with their manual checking, probably only the ovbious.

They should make a safer poll instead.

But I guess its all about getting clicks and tricking the people paying for adds on their site on as much money as they can.

Not all people love it.

I’m Mary, the guide for Antivirus.About.com. I wanted to leave a post here because I was really struck by the passion of this community. Yes, we detected some fraudulent voting but even after removing that, it did not impact the final results - Comodo Internet Security was the clear leader for the best Internet security suite category.

It’s also worth noting that there were fraudulent votes for other products / categories. I guess the people botting the votes may not realize that their actions could adversely impact the company they are trying to promote. Even to the point of being disqualified. Fortunately it didn’t come to that, of course.

Comodo certainly has one of the most enthusiastic and supportive user communities I’ve seen. And, with the exception of the botters, an extremely honest one.

Kudos on your well-deserved win for best Internet security suite.
