Vista startup issue cfp.dll

Just a quick post regarding an issue I found with the firewall install, I found the solution so thought I would share - apologies if this is posted elsewhere.

Issue:

When I installed the firewall on Vista home, every time I restarted the laptop got something similar to :

“could not locate c:<username>\appdata\windows<etc>\cfp.dll - application aborted”

Fix:

The install had placed an executable cfp.exe in the startup menu as opposed to a shortcut, this was causing the error message simply because the required files were not present in that folder.

I moved cfp.exe from the startup menu and replaced it with a shortcut to the cfp.exe file in “program files\comodo” folder - problem solved…

i have been stressing out about this for the last few hours and only now just came across this thread. i followed your directions but unfortunately i am still getting this message and i can’t delete the program to fresh install it.

the file folder does not contain the .dll file either. is there any way that i can download the file!!!
