Config: 3.0.24.368 (just freshly installed) under Vista x64 SP1.
It says “Invalid license” (see attached screenshot) ?
How comes ? What’s the reason for that ? How to “fix” it ?

The new update should resolve this…
Xan
Isn’t 3.0.24.368 the most recent one, released today (May 24) ?
This is the one I “cleanly & freshly” installed.
… ???
Yeah, as you see at the release note : Fixed license problems with vista.
Xan
Yes, but … this is the one I have just installed.
And It says invalid license.
When does the activation happen ? Only during the installation ?
I was not connected to the net while installing the FW.
Can I activate it afterwards ?
I have no idea. try pm’ing edgemen. I think he will find some fix.
Xan
So, does activation happen during installation or after ?
As I said i was not online during installation.
There has been a small update to cure this problem try updating CPF3 (3.0.24.368)
Dennis
Edit Sorry missed that so has not worked?
As said here
He already has the latest update, now that makes me quite :-X
Xan
[ at ] dennis2 I have freshly installed 3.0.24, released today. No offense intended (really),
sorry, but I am under the impression that some ppl can’t read ?
Or is there ANOTHER more recent update (sorry then) ? But I don’t think there is …
But the remaining Qestion is: WHEN does the activation take place ?
… But anyway, maybe they did’t fix it properly with the latest update …
things like that are not unheard of
So maybe this thread should be moved to bug reports ?
It is not for you to say sorry it is me for not reading your first post properly SORRY.
Dennis
Re Invalid License what I usually have is just a blank no serial No on all my previous installs on Vista x 32 SP1
After uninstalling and reinstalling CPF numerous times,
I still get “Invalid License”.
This looks like a bug. In other words, the activation does not seem
to be fixed, at least not for me.
Is there any negative effect of not having a valid license ?
After all, CPF is freeware, so it shouldn’t make a difference, right ?
Observe the same thing running Win XP SP3.
The curious thing is that it occurs only while I am logged in under my limited account.
When logged in under my admin account, a valid license number appears!
Regards,
Mike

Xan
Am happy to report that this issue is solved for me with the latest update (v3.0.25.078).
A valid license number appears under both limited and admin accounts.
