Hi,
We have already sent latest console scanners to them and they are in the process of integration.
Thanks

Well I can now see virustotal has updated to the latest version of CIS! :-TU :-TU
Sorry for bumping an old thread!
But this caught my attention: ;D
So there is a console CIS AV scanner…
Can it run in safe mode? Sounds interesting anyway!
Can it run on other OS’s since it lacks GUI?
(asking too much??) sorry then… xD

If I change my name to “virustotal” will you send me the console scanner as well. Along with the return code so I can get it to work within other programs.
Ewen
I few days ago I contact them both about the new comodo 3.9. I got a response from both but today I checked and VirSCAN has updated to comodo 3.9 and signatures 1168, VirusTotal has yet to update.
Check it out http://virscan.org/
Usually takes a while after a version update…
Comodo has to send them their “latest console scanners” then virustotal have to integrate it… =)

Is there any possibility of the console scanner (along with docs on return codes) being publicly released?

I always use this website when Virustotal was high service loading.
Or using http://scanner.novirusthanks.org this site have Comodo engine too.
But it was 3.8 version.

lol… why dont you guys email VirusTotal and whoever else about this problem. There is not much Comodo could do to force them to upgrade the database every so often

You are right. It doesn’t.
Indeed, Virustotal is only signature based AFAIK (for Comodo at least, I’ve seen it reporting heuristics for other products ?)…
