Virus update fails every time

I downloaded and installed comodo internet security premium 4.1.149672.916. I have tried several times for the last 3 days to run the virus update after I open comodo. Every time it either fails right away or goes to 5% and then fails.

I am running vista ultimate and cable internet so speed or reliable connection is not the problem.

I clicked the update virus link under the Summary and the Antivirus tabs. What can I do to fix this?

have you messed with the connection settings in IE, reason I ask is because the comodo updater uses the settings in IE to update with.

No I have not changed the internet setting at all.

The only update that is not working is the antivirus one. The other updater under the more tab for the main program works and it states that it uses my internet settings.
