How about a Virus Free Guarantee Software that is simpler to Cyber Links Recovery Manager?

Did you lock this thread by mistake? Unlocking thread.
Comodo Time Machine may do something very similar.
Its development has been on hold of a while but Comodo has started to work on a newer version. I think a beta is to be expected for March 2010.
March 2012
Hi eddie.lucas18,
1st, there is no “Virus Free Guarantee Software” in the world yet being developed… & never will be (not in the horizon ) … unless some drastic changes are implemented in OS’s architectures… & many other stuff, which is out of scope of this thread & you request in particular.
Then, only from your screen shots we can see that it is not “Cyber Links”, but “Sybelink Recovery Manager”
That one we do know.
And that is a very specific Software, which has nothing to do with “Virus Free”, despite sure sometimes it can be used in case PC was infected
The one was developed only for HP in order to use recovery partition & return system to the factory default installation of Windows 7 & again only related to, so to speak “HP version of OS”
You cannot recover just any Win 7 using it. If you have another firm-designed PC – that may or may not have similar Tool (and respectively hidden partition) in order to achieve that
But again – that has nothing to do with malware only per se.
Hi Eric,
I was surprised by your request
CTM concept (if there is any) is completely different.
… and more over - at the moment it is a total not working failure big time. Let’s stop here in order to not going OffTopic
So I hope, we are clear and do understand what is HP’s specific recovery Software, compare to any other (similar) recovery developed by different manufactures + differences regarding CTM nature. Am I Right?
Therefore finally, here a quiz:
Cheers!
I like the confusion going on here with the phonetically similar sounding words like Syber Link, Siberlynx and Sybelink…
Why do I feel you already know the answers to the questions of your quiz?
Format c:
Run setup.exe
Simple enough?
Sorry for the delayed response, guys
Well, that was the one and only reason for replying in the 1st place , wasn’t it? ;D
Yes, I do have some, but not all of them
1st , at the moment I don’t have access to any HP firm-designed PC.
Then, I tested CTM at early stages, which was disasters!, and because of that I’ll never consider using it in the future no matter what.
Therefore, the respective Q of the “quiz” remains & whoever wanna test the scenario - please do that.
Hi panic,
Yes (in many cases) & No at the same time, considering the note about “specific” Rootkits.
You will not be able to: “>Format c: ”
I mean you can issue the said command & “visually” all will end fine , but after the reinstalling the system one can find that the nasty survived
… so just applying a snapshot is extremely doubtful in such cases
Cheers!
