Hello, when downloading viruses and such I suggest setting CIS to proactive as a first step, some people uses virtual computers and stuff of that nature when dealing with baddies… Also be careful not to run them…
(unless you absolutely know what you are doing, some files can be really nasty)…
If its in exe, js, pdf, bin, dll, html or whatever don’t matter as long as they are BAD they will be worth detecting. I suggest sending files that CIS fails to detect only, since that will limit the size and time it takes to send them, files already detected are probably files comodo already has came across… =) Scanning those 500 files and remove all CIS already finds and then send the rest is probably a good idea…
If some baddies(viruses/malwares) are undetected then sending them to comodo will absolutely help improve the AV some… Files labeled as “heur…” by CIS is probably worth sending as well, this means the file is not in the database but has something suspicious about them…
=)
