Virus Definitions Installer Package (for downloading from another computer)

Hello,
I think I really good and needed feature is a virus definition installer package. It would help when installing Comodo on multiple computers as well as installing them on people with low band width. It’s a lot easier to go to the Library or high-speed caffe to get the 25MB virus definitions than it is on 56k. It’s also a pain trying to install the definitions on everyones computer after a fresh install when all one would have to do is install the same definitions from an exe… :-\

AntiVir, McAffe, SpyBot S&D, and several others do this all ready.

+1 if you guys think this is a good idea. :-TU

In Russia and Eastern Europe for example. There are parts of the USA were only dial up is available (think about the relatively empty states in the middle).

I am on a fast wide open ADSL 2+ connection by the way.

Very useful on a PC without internet connection, to disinfect and clean.

Please put an option to download the virus definitions to install on other computers without being connected to internet

I’ll add my support for such a feature - this is the only thing I really miss about Norton Internet Security.

To paraphrase an old song:

“Everything else Norton did, Comodo does better!”

Also Norton uses Tons of resources while comodo does not

i agree. i have dial up and currently, i cannot easily download the virus definitions from home. can we expect to see the ability to manually install the virus definitions sometime soon? maybe the next Comodo Internet Security version??

No, Norton uses about the same amount of resources as Comodo. It has been that way since the 2009 product came out.

Only if you want to use the version more intended for corporations that expects you to download several gigabytes of definitions.

Great idea i need that, because i install and configure Comodo on my family computer. I’m the only one who is good at computer. Some people have slow internet connection, no more 512K on ADSL and sometimes minus of that…
It will be very cool to use a USB Key to install the first definition with an Installer Package, that way, they won’t need anymore to download for many hours to have the first more than 100 Mb package.

ADSL is ■■■■■■ technology, too much unfair speed between people for same price.
