since version 3.5… I was unable to make a virus database update. Up today I found no solution to update - and believe me, I know my computer. Some days ago I installed Proxomitron - Universal Web Filter Version Naoko 4.51 (free version) for anonymous surfing. It works over loopback zone with IP 127.0.0.1 Port 8080. This IP and port number I registered in Comodo CIS Miscellaneous - Settings - Proxy. And virus database update and the check for Comodo updates works the first time 100%.

ps. You have the IP of a proxy server to register in Proxomitron. They are found in free proxy lists on Google.
