Virus Database Update freezes at 30%

I have CIS on a Win 7 64bit PC working fine.

Just downloaded and installed CIS onto a Win 7 32bit PC and when trying to update the virus database it has stopped at 30% for the last 40 minutes.
It is the latest version, 3.14.129887.586, but the Virus Signature Database version is 1

On my other PC the version is 3749.
The only other security program is Winows defender, but that is the same on both computers.
Windows firewall is turned OFF.
Any help would be appreciated.

Edit, I had read Ronnie’s FAQ and was still worried but after 48 minutes it has just completed the update download and it is now trebooting so it looks to be fine, just took a long time. But that was probably because it was a new version with no data.

No problem. Other people may learn from it.

The progress indicator staying at 30% is confusing to a lot of people. In the upcoming v4, currently in beta, there is a better solution.

Thanks Eric, Will look forward to that solution.

I feel that if the progress bar had moved slowly along, even taking 48 minutes to reach 100% I would have felt better knowing that something was happening.
Now I know if it happens in future.
