Hello guys,
With the last version,i have an unwanted and sudden problem which wasn’t present on the last CIS versions. When i open up the VK,it closes by itself after 5 or 10 seconds and the Libraries window pops-up on my screen.I hate that as i really want CIS on my system…i’m the only one with this behavior or someone maybe knows why it happens and how can it be fixed?Thank you.
PS.I always use a clean Windows image when i install new security software on my system.
PS2.Win 7 Ultimate x32
Just to make sure, you said that this was a clean image of windows. Thus, no former version of CIS were installed, and neither have any other security programs been installed (even if they are now uninstalled). Is this correct?
Yes,correct. And when i mean a clean image,i mean not a single security solution was never installed on my system.
Hi Joe_Black40,
Try resetting the sandbox in case some form of corruption happened during first opening.
If haven’t done so already, please try opening Kiosk from within the GUI of CIS and this will eliminate any possible errors from within the desktop shortcut.
The problem is that i open VK right from the GUI,i don’t like to use the shortcut. And as i already said, nothing is running in the sandbox because VK closes by itself before i can run anything in there.I was able to open at some point Comodo Dragon, but after the home page, same thing happens…Virtual Kiosk closes itself and Libraries windows is opened automatically…
Same problem, win 7 x64.
Could you try to start Virtual Kiosk from the CIS installation folder? It is called virtkiosk.exe.
Does the same thing happen? When that does not make a difference can you delete fvstore.dat in the system32 folder?
I tried both of those, it only started once correctly, then went back to closing itself, even if I delete that file again.
On my notebook VK works fine (same OS, same CIS), but on notebook VK is set to classic view (and I can’t choose tablet view), while on PC it’s set to tablet view (and I can’t click fast enough to switch it to classic).
It looks like a bug to me. If you have the time and energy please consider filing a bug report in the Bug Reports - CIS board following the format as described in FORMAT & GUIDE - just COPY/PASTE it!.
Reporting of bugs is strictly moderated to make sure Comodo gets clear bug reports. So, please make sure you closely follow protocol. That way your report will certainly be seen by Comodo staff.
I can confirm that this bug hasn’t been fixed yet.
