Virtual kiosk doesnt reset on close?

Wasnt the virtual kiosk supposed to “reset itself” upon closing?

I installed a game in it. It created a desktop icon in the virtual desktop. And it is still able to run when i start it after a restart of the virtual kiosk.

This cant be intended, because its not safe if you replace “game” with “malware” in this scenario.

“Note: Remember to save the changes before you exit the Virtual Kiosk. Your changes will be lost if you exit the Kiosk without saving them.” (How to)

It doesnt work like that for me anymore.

EDIT: It only gets erased to default when i manually clean the sandbox. No idea why.

Hi clockwork,
There is a wish for your suggestion in the link below, that is still under consideration.
If an option were added to Automatically Reset the Sandbox When Closing The Kiosk would you use it?

Kind regards.

Was it changed? As the old how to shows?

I had the impression that the function of kiosk was to have a default set at each start.

That way you could have a permanent AND a temporary sandbox at the same time.

Now there is only a choice between keep all or erase all.
And the manual is wrong.

Hi clockwork,
The idea of having more than one independent sandbox or even multiple sandboxes used for different tasks has been suggested numerous times.
Unfortunately this has never been implemented, but never give up hope.

Now there is only a choice between keep all or erase all. And the manual is wrong.
If we are suggesting the following quote taken from the help file is misleading and incorrectly worded, yes I totally agree with you. The current wording in my opinion is not an accurate description of the actual results caused by closing VD.
