Is it normal that View Antivirus Events is blank even after a scheduled scan? Even if the scan found nothing - as I expect it would - I’d like the reassurance of seeing an entry confirming that the scan was completed, otherwise I’m left with the nagging feeling that something nasty aborted the scan.
Yes it can be normal to have no entries.
For any antivirus scan or virus database updates open View Antivirus Events then click on More.
Choose Tasks Launched under Other Logs and select the correct date when the scan was done all details are there.
Your right, it is there. But do I need to dig so deep to see a scan has run and it’s results?
