Videocard help

I was just given a Nvidia GeForce 7600 GT Video card it’s PCI Express but i was wondering My monitor cable does not plug into it correctly so, Can anyone help me and tell me what part or adapter i may need to buy to use this great videocard? Thanks in advance  Also I’ve searched everywhere online and can not find any information to help :frowning:

The 7600 GT has dual DVI sockets, no VGA. You need a VGA to DVI to VGA adapter (small thing & should be fairly cheap). The card usually ships with 2 adapters.

VGA is the older style cable & DVI is the new one… LCD screens are usually DVI.

One of them…

edit: Ah hang on. Sorry… that one could be the wrong sex! You probably need a female VGA & male DVI. Nope that is right one.

hey, thanks Kail  that’s exactly what i need. Thank you for your help. (:CLP)

Hi Goose17 (:WAV)

You’re most welcome. Who’s giving away 7600 GTs then? ;D

One of my fathers friends just upgraded his PC to a dual ATI video card or something close to that and asked if i wanted his old one since he wont be using it anymore.

Thanks again for your help
