Installed V3 today…went through the normal settings and restarted computer…when i started it up again it (for some reason) restarted teh computer by itself…waited for reboot and tried again…and again it shut itself off
had to start in safe mode and uninstall comodo…after taht it ran just fine…can anyone tell me what happened?
You need to include the OS and any security software or out of the norm programs installed so the dev people can see it also.

well ihave a regular windows xp SP2
super anti spyware (dont ask it actually works well)
and only programs i can think of thatd be “out of the norm” would be a download accelerator,the linksys easy link advisor…’ nd a fe games but thats about it…also i had the older 2.1 version or whatever from download .com…that one worked just fine…
Did you uninstall the old Comodo firewall first and rebooted?
You mentioned Super antispyware not working properly. Temporarily uninstall it and see if that helps.
I pretty much experienced something similar… My PC was working just fine… then Comodo Firewall told me about an update and so I downloaded it… then it asked to uninstall Comodo Firewall v2.4 so it can install the new one… so it uninstalled v2.4… then rebooted… then it installed v3 just fine…
i was able to use my PC properly for about 20-30 minutes… I was playing Pro Evolution Soccer 2008… then the game froze… this is the first time that this game has froze… the hard drive activity light wasnt blinking at all… I waited for awhile thinking that it would come out of it… it didnt…
i tried CTRL+ALT+DELETE, Windows key+D… both didnt work… my PC was frozen… so i was forced to press the reset button on my PC… after that it wouldn’t get into windows… it only goes as far as showing the Windows XP loading screen… the black one with loading bars… after that it only shows a black screen with a mouse pointer… then after awhile the monitor goes to standby mode… the PC is still on but there is no hard drive activity and I couldn’t get it out of standby mode… all i can do is press the reset button again…
i started in safe mode and tried uninstalling v3… after that it still wont boot to windows xp…i did a system restore and restored my PC to a state before i upgraded to v3… it worked, at least temporarily… i turned off my PC and slept… this morning i woke up and couldn’t get to boot my PC again… it wouldn’t boot to windows xp again… so i went into safe mode again… the previous system restore restored it to a state where Comodo Firewall v2.4 was still installed… so i uninstalled it this time… cleaned the registry and tried booting to windows… it worked… then i installed Comodo Firewall v2.4 right after… it works fine now…
i did like the new look of v3 so i hope this problem can be fixed… i would like to update to v3 soon…
My PC has Windows XP SP2, my antivirus is Eset Nod32 v2.7, the other significant startup program would be Daemon Tools Pro…
