Using Comodo Firewall to block entire folders from accessing the internet?

I tried to Google this topic before making this thread in hopes that someone else had figured it out but the best I could find were years-old threads with instructions I didn’t understand or were no longer applicable, presumably because of changes in the software.

I want to use Comodo to block specific folders in Program Files from accessing the internet, but I can’t figure out how. Is there a way to do this? I’m not as familiar with the software as I could be and I’m not particularly technologically inclined, so it would be most helpful if someone could provide the process step-by-step in the event that this is something that can be done.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Suteki,

To do what you are looking for, you must first create a group with the folder you want to deny internet access to.
Go to Defense+ > Computer Security Policy > Protected Files ans Folders > click on Groups at the end of the right column > add > A new group > give it a name > apply > scroll down > right click on “add files here” > add > select your folder in the left column > click on the arrow > apply > apply > OK.

Now do to the Firewall > Network Security Policy > Application rules > add > Select > Files Group > scroll to the name you gave > either choose the predefined Blocked Application rule either make your own one > don’t forget the apply and ok.

Now your entire folder won’t have internet access.

Thanks! That worked!
