Hello,
I am using CIS 6 free and malwarebytes anti-malware 1.7, are there any known conflicts between the two?
and if so, which realtime protection should I disable?
Thanks in advance.
Nope. It is an excellent combo. are you using the pro or the free scan only version of malwarebytes.
Not really. But some users do report high RAM usage. If you are going to disable one real-time protection it should be Malwarebytes. But try both and see if you like it/have any issues.
Using the pro version, before I formatted my windows I used CIS and MBAM and didn’t have any issues, not that I noticed at least.
Thats good. A suggestion would be to add the Malwarebytes processes to exclusions in comodo and add comodos processes and folders to exclusions. this should make less chance for conflict.
Alright, I’ll do that. Thanks for the help.
I used MBAM Pro for a while with different AV. My bottom line form experience is that even if not immediately obvious, not to ever use MBAM with other realtime AV/Malware software REGARDLESS of them saying that yeh, no problem, it works fine laongside everything. Simply not always true. MBAM is a great second opinion but only on-demand, i.e. free version, in my experience over the past 2-3 years with it.
