Add AV DB updates to the installation file for download.
Then we don’t have to wait 15mins for a update to come down, just around 2 because the anti-virus will never be more than 1 week out of date.
It would be much better for users, just install, quick update and go.
I believe COMODO does this already. That’s why the installer’s size keeps increasing.
Just checked the current download size, and it’s still the same 72MB as it was when I first downloaded it 6 weeks ago.
Maybe they’re not updating it anymore, but I know it has been updated in the past with a newer AV database version.
i installed a copy on a new laptop today and it took around 15 mins to download the AV Updates on a 5MB connection so I don’t think it’s been updated since the .509 release.
